Kezar “Great Books” Book Group Meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm At the Kezar Library This month the “Great Books” Book Group will meet to discuss Dashiell Hammett’s The Maltese Falcon on Tuesday, June 3rd at 6:00 pm. A treasure worth killing for. Sam Spade, a slightly shopworn private eye with his own solitary code of ethics. A perfumed grafter named Joel Cairo, a fat man name Gutman, and Brigid O’Shaughnessy, a beautiful and treacherous woman whose loyalties shift at the drop of a dime. These are the ingredients of Dashiell Hammett’s coolly glittering gem of detective fiction, a novel that has haunted three generations of readers. – Publisher’s Weekly Books will be available at both Romeo District Library locations. Please call (586) 752-2583 for more information.
